Super Fast Sloppy Joes

I love sloppy Joes, even though most of the time I am used to making it in the slow cooker and walking away. Sloppy Joes always bring me back to childhood and being in summer camps. They are one of the best type of recipes to feed a wide variety number of people which makes them so great!

This recipe is easy and quick to put together and uses ingredients you are most likely to already have sitting in your fridge and pantry. Even though I am one of those types of people that eats sloppy Joes with a fork, I still love the messiness of it all!

Prepare to get messy with this quick and easy sloppy Joe recipe! It takes less than 20 minutes to prepare and get ready, and the variations and topping possibilities are endless!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Ground Beef
  • 8 oz. Tomato Sauce
  • 1/2 c. Ketchup
  • 3 Tbs. Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbs. Worchestershire Sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. Yellow Mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt and Pepper
  • Hamburger Buns
  • *Optional: Shredded Cheese

Instructions

Add 1 tsp. of olive oil to a large pan and set on medium-low heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Add the beef and increase the heat to medium. Cook around 5 minutes, or until the meat is no longer pink. Add the tomato sauce, ketchup, sugar, Worchestershire, garlic, mustard, garlic and onion powder, and salt and pepper. Stir together and let cook for a few minutes. Add more salt or pepper depending on your taste. Let cool slightly before serving on buns! Add whatever topping you prefer with your sloppy Joes, which for me is just a LOT of cheese!

Notes

You can substitute the beef with turkey, and add any toppings you wish like cheese, onions, pickle, etc. The topping choices are limitless!
